A successful Republican Party is open and welcoming to all who subscribe to basic Republican principles and advocate policies which encourage entrepreneurship and smaller, open, & transparent government. It was Ronald Reagan who said that if you agree with me 80% of the time you are my friend, not my political enemy.
On DCRC leadership.
The DC Republican leadership of Chairman Bob Kabel, National Committeewoman Betsy Werronen, and National Committeeman Tony Parker have done a good job of formulating and promoting our urban Republican agenda. I am prepared to continue that effort. As a former congressional press secretary, I know how to develop and deliver a message that gets attention and drives home the point.
On growing a local party.
Growing our Party is difficult work. It is not something that can be done sporadically. It is a continuing effort that requires a planned continuing effort. As Finance Committee Chairman, I have developed avenues to bring young professionals into the DC Republican Party while ensuring that these new activists are available to support our candidates.
