About Jill.
Jill Homan is a Penn Quarter homeowner and proud Republican, who has been working tirelessly to expand the party in the District of Columbia.
Jill worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman Bob Ehrlich as his press secretary. After her time on Capitol Hill, Jill went on to earn a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Policy degrees from Duke University, with a focus on finance and authoring a thesis on urban revitalization.
A small business owner, Jill co-founded Javelin 19 Investments, a commercial real estate investment company focused on metropolitan Washington, DC. At Javelin 19, Jill is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and executing commercial real estate investment opportunities which include multi-family and office acquisitions. Jill previously served as vice president for Perseus Realty for five years, where she was responsible for multi-family and office acquisitions, underwriting, assisting in the capitalization of ongoing projects, and managing due diligence processes.
Jill is no stranger to politics on the local and national levels. Jill assisted with Norm Coleman's (MN) election for US Senate and John McCain's presidential campaign. Jill has been a loyal supporter of the DC Republican Committee and its candidates for a number of years. She hosted fundraisers, went door to door and helped at phone banks for Patrick Mara's campaign for School Board, At-Large DC Council and Jim DeMartino's campaign for Ward 6 DC Council. Jill currently serves as an Executive Committee member and Finance Chair of the DC Republican Committee and as the First Vice President of the League of Republican Women DC. Jill led the launch of the DC Republican Committee's “35 under 35” initiative to engage young professionals in Republican politics. And, in 2010, the DC Republican Committee awarded Jill with its annual "Up & Comer Award."
Jill received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Dayton--a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in German, graduating magna cum laude. During her undergraduate and graduate education, she studied abroad at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - MBA Program.
In Jill's free time, she participates in the Penn Quarter Neighborhood Association, serves on the board of the Commercial Real Estate Women DC, and enjoys running, having just completed her sixth marathon.
